升入初中，我遇到一位英语老师，她姓李，名兰英，同学们暗送绰号“拖堂李天王”，因为她总爱拖堂。

她的眼睛大而亮，生气的时候就会眯成一条缝，我们都不愿见到这条缝，因为每当看到这条缝的时候，就意味着我们又挨批了。她的嘴不大，话却很多，嘴唇厚厚的`，我们都说是因为说话太多，被磨厚的。她笑的时候，总是把嘴歪向一边，看起来很好笑，不过保持的时间很短，转瞬即逝。

有一天，老师大概是道听途说到几句我们班同学说她的“好话”，作为班主任，面子挂不住，心中不爽，刚一上课就对我们大吼开“德育课”，说了将近半小时也没有停下来的意思，大家见形势不妙，都忍气吞声、一言不发，我却按捺不住了，就起身说了句：“老师，该上课了!”，这下我可惹了祸了，老师把她的怒火都烧在了我的身上。她用手撑着讲台，眯着眼睛，不住的数落我，直到第二节课的铃声响起，她才不得不结束了她无休止的责备。

但从这次起，老师对我要求特别严格，但凡有一点做得不到位的事情，老师就会把我叫到办公室里批评，对我做错的题和不会的题也会仔细讲解并直到我听明白为止。这对我英语成绩的提升无疑起了莫大的作用。

至于老师总爱拖堂、总绷着脸、布置作业多，归根结底，还是为了能提高我们的成绩，虽然办法略有不妥，可也不能直接否定。

如往常一样，小组报告作业，然后由老师一个个教训。我们拿出昨天留的作业，老师又一张张展示在讲台上、判分。不愧是班长，语文和数学卷子都对了，英语也是满分，我羡慕不已。老师把我的卷子拿过去审阅，作文每次写的都不错的我，这次竟然也像吃错药了似的作文的条件不够好，老师严肃地对我说：“姜惠文，你偷懒了吧？多背范文！”一句斩钉截铁的话，吓得我有个地缝都能转进去，我苦笑了一下算是默认了。老师开始讲课，可是，总有几个同学不注意听讲，要么偷偷地闲聊，再不就是看课外书。老师的脸顿时冷若冰霜，仍耐住性子说：“请注意，我在给你们讲课，能尊重一下您自己吗？”教室里一下鸦雀无声。
