　　完形和阅读的选材联系社会实际，贴近时代生活。完形填空是一篇具有人文情怀的记叙文，通过主人爱猫、猫救主人的故事描述，倡导人和动物和谐相处，具有教育意义。阅读第一篇，新书节选；第二篇，宇航员的太空生活；第三篇，孔子思想及中国文化；第四篇，慷慨助人的小饭店。体裁多样，内容丰富。选材融知识性、教育性和趣味性为一体，可读性强，体现丰富的文化内涵。除关注语言的难易、题材、体裁以外，更关注语篇的思维深度，关注现在中学生的认知能力。
