第一章. 可数名词和不可数名词
&普通名词：可以分清个体，以数目来计算的，有复数形式。
名词的分类
有单数形式 可数名词 &不可数名：不可以分清个体，不能以数目来计算，只
一、可数名词变复数之规则变化：
1、 一般在名词词尾加s ，
① map —maps 地图，bird —birds 鸟，
orange —oranges 桔子，
bike —bikes 自行车；
2、以s, x, ch, sh结尾的名词加es ，
① box —boxes 盒子，class —classes 班级，watch —watches 手表， dish-dishes 盘，碟子，餐具；
3、 以O 结尾的名词后面加s 或es
① photo —photos 相片 radio —radios 收音机 zoo —zoos 动物园 tomato —tomatoes 西红柿 potato —potatoes 土豆
4、 以辅音字母加y 结尾的名词，变y 为i+es
① baby —babies 婴儿 family —families 家庭；
以元音字母加y 结尾的名词直接加s
① boy —boys 男孩 toy —toys 玩具；
5、 以fe 或f 结尾的名词，把fe 或f 变为ves
① knife —knives 小刀
wife —wives 妻子
leaf —leaves 树叶。
二、可数名词变复数之不规则变化
1以o 结尾加-es ：
potato →potatoes tomato →tomatoes hero →heroes Negro → Negroes „
2字母a 变e:
man →men, woman →women, Frenchman →Frenchmen, policeman-policemen „
3字母oo 变ee:
tooth →teeth, foot →feet, goose →geese „
4单复数同形：
sheep →sheep, deer→deer, fish→fish
Chinese-Chinese, Japanese →Japanese
cattle →cattle „
5其他：
child →children, mouse →mice,
medium →media, basis →bases „
6、 另外还有一些名词，其复数形式有时可表示特别意思，如：goods 货物，waters 水域，fishes （各种）鱼
7. 不同国籍的人的复数形式：
1）加-s:
Australian Australians Russian Russians
Italian Italians Greek Greeks
American Americans Indian Indians
Canadian Canadians German Germans
2) 变a 为e ：
Englishman Englishmen
Frenchman Frenchmen
3）单复数同形：
Chinese Chinese Japanese Japanese
Swiss
8. 合成名词的复数形式：
有主体时，主体变为复数
father-in-law fathers-in-law (岳父，公公）
无主体时，结尾加“ s ”
grown-up grown-ups （成年人）
go-between go-betweens （媒介者; 中间人）
如果其中有man 或者woman ，则两个都要变复数
woman doctor women doctors
man doctor men doctors
三．不可数名词数的表达。
1. 不可数名词的数量一般用some , much , a lot of , lots of , a bit of , a little , little等数量形容词表示。
eg: some meat 一些肉 a lot of money很多钱 a little water 一点水
2. 借助表示“张”“块”的单位词（piece ）
a piece of paper a piece of advice
a piece of meat a piece of wood
3. 借助表示容量的词
a bottle of ink a cup of tea
a bowl of rice a glass of beer
a basket of food five bags of rice
4. 借助表示重量的词
a kilo of salt te n ton s of coal a pound of sugar
5. 借助表示形状的词
a drop of water
