摘要：社会工作专业在国外已有上百年的历史,而在我国还是一门新兴的专业。随着我国经济体制和政治体制改革的不断深入，“小政府、大社会”局面的形成，许多原来由政府、企事业单位负责的工作都开始由社会统筹处理。同时，随着社会制度的不断完善，人民生活水平的日益提高，越来越多的社会服务机构如医院、学校、企事业、军队、农村、非政府组织等，都需要专业社会工作者的介入。社会工作在维持社会稳定,建立和谐社会,解决各种社会问题,建立和完善各种社会保障制度等方面都发挥着越来越重要的作用。 Social work in foreign professional has hundreds of years of history, and in our country or a new professional. 一、中国大陆社会工作背景与近情

专业社会工作20世纪50年代以前就已传入中国，1952年的院系调整被取消。

1987年民政部和北京大学签订了联合办学的协议，决定在北京大学社会学系建立社会工作与管理专业，这标志着社会工作教育在中国内地开始恢复。
