Overview of China’s Mobile Internet Industry
By the end of 2010, China’s mobile Internet industry was worth RMB 293.69 billion, and the figure for 2011 reached RMB 400 billion.
The year 2011 witnessed an emerging trend of consolidation in China’s mobile Internet industry. In August, Google took over Motorola Mobile; in December, Nokia announced it would abandon Symbian OS. All these incidents signified that the mobile Internet industry has entered a period of overall consolidation.
