大红帽（二）:头戴大红帽身穿大白袍

　　“Some day you may find that you can not do it，”said the old woman．(Don’t forget that she was a witch．)
　　The bad little man went inside his hut。
　　“总有一天你会发现你办不到。”老太婆说。(不要忘了这个老妇人是个巫婆。)
　　这个可恶的小个子听完就进屋去了。
　　
　　Now he wanted to take the big red hat off and raised his hand to do it．But he could not take it off．He pulled and pulled and pulled.The hat did not move．That night he went to bed with his hat on．
　　进屋后他想摘下自己的大红帽子，他抬起手来去摘，但摘不下来。他拉呀拉，拉了好多次，帽子还是摘不下来。那天晚上他只好戴帽子上床睡觉了。

　　The next morning he tried again．
　　He could not get his hat off his head．
　　“Oh，dear!What shall I do?”he cried．
　　第二天早晨，他又试着往下摘帽子。哎呀!他还是摘不下来。
　　“唉，天哪!我该怎么办呢?”他大声喊道。

　　“He was always a rude man．”
　　But they all tried to help the little old man to take his hat off．
　　Suddenly the old woman appeared.
　　“他向来是个粗鲁无礼的家伙。”
　　尽管如此，大家还是都试着帮这个小老头儿往下摘帽子。
　　突然，那个老巫婆出现了。
　　suddenly[＇sdnli] 突然

　　“Ha，ha!”she laughed，“So，little old man，you can not take your hat off when you please!”
　　“No，I can’t，”replied the lttle man in a low voice,“I’m sorry I was rude to you．I know I must take my hat off to a woman,but I…”
　　“哈哈!”她大笑一声，“怎么样?小老头儿，你想摘帽子的时候也摘不下来了吧!”
　　“是的，我摘不下来了。”小老头儿低声回答道，“对不起，我对您太无礼了。我知道同女人讲话时我必须脱帽，但是我……”
　　
　　He ran out of the hut and down the road．Very soon a crowd of people gathered around him．
　　“He can’t get his hat off，”shouted one．
　　“It serves him right，”said another。
　　“He never took his hat off to anyone，not even to the most beautiful woman in our town!”laughed someone else．
　　他跑出小屋来到大道上。马上就有一群人围拢过来。
　　“他摘不下来帽子了!”一个人喊道。
　　“他活该!”另一个人说。
　　“他对任何人都从来不摘帽子。甚至对我们镇子里最漂亮的女人也从来不脱帽!”另一个人笑着说。

　　The next moment there was a loud thud as the hat flew off his head.
　　After that the little man always took off his hat when anyone spoke to him.
　　接下去人们听到砰的一声，原来那是帽子从他脑袋上飞下来时发出的响声。
　　从此之后，不管什么人跟他说话，他总是把帽子摘下来回话。
