　　正确的理论为指导能使教师面对课堂教学中、学生交流过程中出现的错误，不是感到茫然，而是有章可循。语言学家Bailey推荐了7种关于纠错的基本选择模式(seven basic options)，而且列举了错误本身可能具有的8项特点(eight possible features)，这些都是教师在做出是否对错误进行纠正的选择时可以予以参考的。
